There will be a few changes at the Village Store and Café over the coming weeks.
From 27 July, customers with masks will be allowed inside the shop two at a time (one at the till and one shopping in the aisle) and the team is aiming to re-open the café for two tables of two at any one time (customers will need to leave their details). Don’t forget you can buy handmade fabric masks from the shop for a minimum donation of £3 to The Mill Community Hub project!
Opening hours will stay the same (8am to 1pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 1pm Sundays) and the shop is planning to keep delivering newspapers until the children go back to school.
The shop would like to say a massive thank you to their staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly during the lockdown, and also all the villagers who have supported the shop during this period.
As things start to get back to normal, please make sure you continue to support your local store as much as you can. Remember that the shop needs a certain level of trade to continue stocking fresh produce, and your continued support will also ensure they can continue to supply all the essentials and offer the same level of service in the event of a second spike, or even a big snowfall.
